This is a creature study done using a very specific workflow that I find really useful.
I knew I intended to create a reptilian creature but that it lived in total harmony with the forest by possessing natural elements as in this case, branches and leaves that were part of its own shape. I would like to develop it later to represent it in other seasons as well as autumn, to explore how its skin and leaves can adapt to the environment during winter, summer and spring.
The creative process obviously started from the reference search, I have attached some of them, to then begin the sketching phase directly on Photoshop and then Gravity Sketch. Once I got the desired sketch, I made some simple volumes. I exported the creature to Zbrush and with the Dynamesh I sculpted the details I needed.
On 3d coat I texturized the parts of which the creature was composed, and I rendered everything on Blender with Cycles and did some compositing on Photoshop. I wanted to do it all in no more than 8 hours, as I'm trying to study more the world of creatures, but also an optimized workflow for the concept design of them.
